Americana Highway - March 5, 2006

This week on WIVK's Americana Highway we're keepin' it all in the family...as we salute those bluegrass, Americana, and Alt. Country siblings who are makin' great music with their mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, or sisters and brothers! Jack Ryan will be playing incredible music from family acts like The Judds, Cherryholmes, The Del McCoury Band and The Larkins. Plus you'll hear individual songs from the late great Waylon Jennings, his wife Jessi Colter and their son Shooter Jennings. Hank Williams Jr. has a new song out that you'll hear along with new music from his son Hank III and his daughter Holly Williams. Jack will be playing Roseanne Cash and Johnny Cash...Stella Parton and Dolly Parton, too! Also, joining Jack in studio this week are two brothers who have a new Sugar Hill cd out called "Red Letter Day" - Eric and Leigh - The Gibson Brothers. We'll have an exclusive interview with the bluegrass brothers from upstate New York - plus hear a few tunes of their latest release. And, as always, if there's something you'd like to hear - this week or any week on the show - just send an email to jack@americanahighway.com.
