Americana Highway - May 21, 2006

This week The Americana Highway temporarily becomes The Americana Railway...as Jack Ryan will be playing your favorite songs about trains. You'll hear some great tracks about the tracks from bluegrass, Americana and country artists like: Alecia Nugent, Mountain Heart, Jessie Lee Miller, Deana Carter, The Wilders, Jeffrey Foucault, Vince Gill, Claire Lynch, Marty Stuart, Randy Travis, Larry Rice, Dolly Parton and more! And, as always, if there's a song about a train that you'd like to hear on the show, just send your request via email to jack@americanahighway.com.
.
Also, don't forget that you still have time to get your name entered into the drawing to win the "A Taste Of Americana" gift basket...custom-designed for The Americana Highway by Gifty Chicks of Knoxville, TN...which includes some great music cd's including Dolly Parton, Nickel Creek, The Duhks, The Gibson Brothers and more - all courtesy of Sugar Hill Records. To enter, just send your name, address and phone number to jack@americana highway.com. Entry deadline is May 30, 2006. Good luck!
